Saskatchewan is currently facing down an addiction crisis that has cut like a scythe through our communities and we have yet to take the kind of bold action needed to save lives. Meara and the NDP Opposition believe that the ongoing overdose and addiction crises must be addressed as a public health emergency.

A 15$ minimum wage is a critical way to decrease poverty and improve the economy. Many communities that have raised their minimum wage have seen positive impacts on employment.

No one should live in poverty, but that a job doesn’t guarantee freedom from poverty points to larger problems that this government has failed to address.
