Saskatchewan Healthcare Is Broken, But Together, We Can Fix It.
Focused on Fixing Healthcare. MLAs Meara Conway and Jared Clarke are conducting broad consultations to make our healthcare system nation-leading again, now and into the future. They’ll be consulting with everyone – healthcare workers, providers, community leaders, policy experts, patients, families and more. It's time to shift decision-making and resources away from the politicians and bureaucrats in Regina, and back into the hands of local leaders and the workers on the frontlines. People are hungry for solutions. And Saskatchewan has a legacy of pursuing big, bold ideas in healthcare when others would not. Today, we owe it to future generations to once again rebuild healthcare from the ground up.
Harm reduction saves money, and more importantly, lives
Saskatchewan is currently facing down an addiction crisis that has cut like a scythe through our communities and we have yet to take the kind of bold action needed to save lives. Meara and the NDP Opposition believe that the ongoing overdose and addiction crises must be addressed as a public health emergency.
15$ Minimum Wage: the economics. We all do better when we all do better
A 15$ minimum wage is a critical way to decrease poverty and improve the economy. Many communities that have raised their minimum wage have seen positive impacts on employment.
The 72,000 Saskatchewan children living in poverty deserve better
No one should live in poverty, but that a job doesn’t guarantee freedom from poverty points to larger problems that this government has failed to address.
